Role Details

Time commitment: Three, two-hour in-person board meetings in London. One, four-hour in-person board meeting in London. Additional meetings may be arranged, depending on organisational priorities. Board roles are voluntary, unpaid positions, but travel and other related expenses may be covered on request.

Mode of attendance: In person.

Required Skills and Experience

We would like to recruit four trustees, each bringing expertise in one of the following areas:

1. Leadership, and Learning and Development

2. Fundraising and Donor Engagement

3. Financial Management, Accountancy, and Commercial Strategies

4. Strategy and Partnerships

We are seeking a trustee with expertise in leadership aligned with the social sector who bring both practical and theoretical knowledge of learning and development. Help us craft impactful programmes that develop the next generation of leaders across the social sector. Your insights will guide our efforts to support leaders at every level, from grassroots managers to CEOs, as they tackle society’s most pressing challenges.

We are seeking a trustee with a deep understanding of the fundraising process and the ability to engage with key donors and supporters. This will be instrumental in ensuring the continued growth of the organisation’s leadership activities, especially in empowering underrepresented groups in the social sector.Use your expertise in fundraising to help Clore Social Leadership broaden its reach and deepen its impact, building lasting partnerships and engaging supporters who share our commitment to social change.

We are seeking a trustee who can bring a balance of financial expertise, commercial insight and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by social sector organisations, to ensure that Clore Social can continue to innovate, grow and support diverse leaders in driving social change. Guide our financial strategy with sound judgement and a forward-thinking approach. Your expertise will ensure that our programmes are not only impactful but sustainable, empowering us to grow and invest in transformative leadership initiatives.

We are seeking a trustee with expertise in strategy, partnerships and legal matters. This role is critical in shaping the organisation’s strategic direction, ensuring compliance and fostering partnerships that amplify Clore Social’s impact. With your vision, Clore Social Leadership can expand its reach, forge powerful alliances and create lasting change within diverse communities across the UK.
