The Wiltshire Law Centre is a registered charity, established in 1981 and has provided free independent advice on a range of issues through the years.
Currently our eleven specialist caseworkers provide advice on Housing matters, including possession/eviction, disrepair, homelessness, illegal eviction and anti-social behaviour. We hold Legal Aid Agency contracts to provide Housing advice and representation in the areas in and around Swindon, Hampshire and Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, as well as assistance under the Housing Possession Court Duty scheme for Aldershot and Farnham, Basingstoke, Gloucester, Portsmouth, Salisbury, Southampton and Swindon.
Time commitment: Approximately 10 hours.
Attendance: In person or remote can be accomodated.
Wiltshire Law Centre is looking for someone to deliver training in relation to relevant civil procedure rules for housing litigation, such as procedure around claiming/enforcing costs, preparing witness evidence/bundles, disrepair pre-action protocol, rules of disclosure, what a barrister will require within instructions (e.g for trial) and so on.
We are also interested in receiving training in how to conduct representation in committal applications for enforcement of ABSIs.
We are looking for someone with litigation experience, preferably within a housing law context.
