HEARTS Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust consisting of six primary schools and one alternative provision.

Role Details

As a Trustee, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our Trust by:

• Providing strategic leadership and robust oversight to ensure the delivery of high-quality education across our schools.

• Contributing to decision-making on governance, compliance, risk, and financial sustainability.

• Working collaboratively with fellow Trustees and senior leaders to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Skills and Experience

The qualities we seek include:

•        Legal background

•        A strong interest in education and community impact

•        Strategic thinking and sound judgement

•        Integrity, accountability, and a commitment to ethical governance

•        The ability to work constructively as part of a diverse team

•        A willingness to learn and engage in ongoing development

No previous Trustee experience is required. Full induction, training, and ongoing support will be provided. 

Attendance: In person or via Team

Time Commitment: 6 meetings a year lasting approximately 2 hours plus time to read and prepare for the meeting.
