Vacancy deadline: 25 May 2026 10:00

Thank you for your interest in working at Advocate.

Advocate is a national charity that matches people who need free legal help with barristers who donate their time and expertise for those who cannot obtain legal aid and cannot afford to pay. We believe that fair and equal access to justice is the foundation of our society. That the quality of your legal representation shouldn't depend on the depth of your pockets, but the merits of your case.

Our volunteer barristers are vital to our mission to support access to justice, and this role plays a key part in ensuring they are well supported, engaged, and able to contribute their skills effectively.

We are seeking a proactive and well-organised Engagement Administrator with a passion for access to justice to support the onboarding, administration, and ongoing engagement of our barrister volunteers. The role focuses on delivering administrative support, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to projects that strengthen and grow barrister engagement. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will manage enquiries and databases and help enhance the volunteer experience.

In addition, the role will support the work of Bar in the Community (BIC). Through BIC, barristers and legal professionals can support charities, causes, and communities in wider ways, from becoming a trustee to facilitating training, providing business support and much more.
