Advocate is delighted to announce the eagerly anticipated shortlist for the 2025 Bar Pro Bono Awards.

2025 Awards Shortlist Announced

This year, Advocate received over 60 nominations across the 8 different categories for our Bar Pro Bono Awards. This is a real testament to the brilliant dedication across the Bar to delivering access to justice for all.

Held annually, the Bar Pro Bono Awards are a unique opportunity in the legal calendar to celebrate the remarkable pro bono achievements of barristers, chambers and cross-Bar initiatives in England and Wales. This year's Bar Pro Bono Awards will be taking place at the Great Hall in Lincoln's Inn on Tuesday 6th May.

We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to our shortlisted nominees. Each nominee has made an invaluable pro bono contribution by selflessly giving up their time and expertise to help those who would otherwise have nowhere else to turn for legal assistance.

Commenting on the shortlist, Advocate Chairman Sharif A. Shivji KC said:

"Advocate is thrilled to have received such an exceptional calibre of nominees for this year’s Bar Pro Bono Awards. The judges faced a challenging task in narrowing down the shortlist, reflecting the outstanding contributions made by each nominee.
