They are taking on the challenge of cycling 186 miles in three days from London to Paris to raise money for access to justice. From Crystal Palace to the City of Lights, The Legal Wheel Appeal is going to be a tough physical feat!

Julie recently applied to the Unit for legal representation. Julie is a single mother who wanted to request a child arrangement order to provide her two young children with more structure and certainty regarding their contact with their father. We were able to match Julie with a volunteer barrister who successfully represented her. An order is now in place and Julie and her children feel more settled and confident about the future. Julie said of the experience:

“The barrister knew her stuff inside out and was just brilliant...so so grateful to you all.  To have been going through this alone and then have someone stand up for me was amazing!”

We want to make sure that everyone in need of legal help has someone to stand up for them and give them much needed free advice. Our wonderful cyclists are raising awareness of access to justice as well as vital funds that will enable us to match hundreds more people like Julie with the right expert legal help.
