We are delighted that the Bar Pro Bono Awards will be back on Wednesday 8th May 2024.
Since 1997, the Bar Pro Bono Awards have been a unique opportunity in the legal calendar to recognise the remarkable pro bono achievements of the Bar in England and Wales.
The awards recognise those individuals and chambers who have gone above and beyond expectation when undertaking pro bono work to support access to justice.
The increasing variety of pro bono work available means it is increasingly difficult to choose one winner from a set of nominees working in different areas. Therefore, we have nine categories in which individuals, initiatives or chambers can be selected as winners for:
- Young Pro Bono Barrister of the Year - sponsored by Place Campbell
- Junior Pro Bono Barrister of the Year - sponsored by Westgate Wealth Management
- Pro Bono KC of the Year - sponsored by Hewetson & Co
- International Pro Bono Barrister of the Year - sponsored by Ankura
- Pro Bono Chambers' Professional of the Year - sponsored by the Legal Practice Management Association
- Pro Bono Chambers of the Year - sponsored by ABC Chambers Solutions LLP
- Lifetime Achievement in Pro Bono, the Sydney Elland Goldsmith Award
- Pro Bono and Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year
- John Collins Pro Bono Excellence Award
