Resolute supports women to find their strength, determination and dignity after the effects of domestic abuse and violence .

We provide a range of services including:

- One to one support

- Peer support

- Social activities

- The Lotus - a well being space aiming to break down barriers around speaking about domestic violence aimed at early intervention and changing the national narrative

Role Description

Set up in 2023 based on lived experience, our organisation is growing rapidly and needs to strengthen our board of trustees to enable us to thrive. 

We are based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire and have recently acquired premises in the town centre.  Offering vital support to women across the region, Resolute has a strong vision to adopt a social franchising model to ensure women can disclose at the earliest stage.  We recognise the importance of good governance to underpin our work and currently have vacancies for 4 trustees. 

A skills analysis demonstrates that we require trustees with the following skill base:

Governance knowledge and experience

Finance - to take up the role of treasurer

Legal background/HR

Digital innovation

Required Skills & Experience

We are looking for those interested in this area and keen to make social change.  You should have time to commit to the organisation to help us develop and grow.  There are a number of roles available at this time with a role description available for each. 

We are particularly keen to hear from those with experience in:

Chair roles

Charity finance

Safeguarding

HR/legal

Digital innovation around measuring impact/social change
