We are a benevolent fund for dance professionals. We help dancers, dance teachers and choreographers get back on their feet after they have experienced difficulties, either financial or with their physical or mental health. We also provide support with staying in dance when contracts are limited and there is a lack of opportunity to earn a living.
Time commitment: Four Board meetings per year, may also be called on to be a member of one of the sub committees which meet several times throughout the year.
Attendance: Board meetings are in person in central London, committee meetings are as arranged by each committee to ensure members can attend.
This role is to be a trustee of the Dance Professionals Fund, who can at times add their voice and opinion to governance and legal matters that might arise. Examples of this might be legal documents connected to our office tenancy, or the process involved of becoming a CIO.
Ideally someone who is adept at scanning legal information with a view to flagging up to the Board/Executive Team anything of interest/note. To contribute generally to the wider aims and objectives of the Dance Professionals Fund.
