Organisation Overview

We provide counselling and therapeutic support to anyone affected directly or indirectly by cancer and life-threatening conditions.

We provide life-changing emotional and psychological support to over 500 people each year.

Role Details

Time commitment: 1-2 hours per month. Our board meets six times per year and meetings are in the evening.

Attendance: Board meetings are hybrid except for 2 meetings per year which are in-person.

Role Description

Do you want to help improve the lives of children, young people, and adults affected by cancer and life-threatening conditions? We Hear You (WHY) is seeking passionate individuals to join our Board of Trustees!

As a dynamic charity based in Frome, Somerset, we provide life-changing emotional and psychological support to over 500 people each year. With your skills and enthusiasm, you’ll help shape our future, ensuring WHY continues to offer a safe space for those navigating the challenges of diagnosis, grief, and bereavement.

As a Trustee, you’ll play a vital role in setting our strategy, ensuring accountability, and supporting our incredible team. Board meetings are held six times a year, with opportunities to actively contribute beyond that.
