The Society is a charity which is committed to providing compassionate care and aims to provide quality and safe care for those with a physical and/or a learning disability, and particularly those people living with Huntington's disease and other neurological conditions. This care is provided in two residential care homes – Frindsbury House in Rochester and Birling House in Snodland - mortimersociety.org.uk.

The commitment for a Trustee is attendance at 5 Board meetings every year - the majority are online with one in-person meeting every year and special meetings, as required. Training is provided on-line, according to the experience of the trustee.
